Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant

Introduction

Arup is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to support our growing industry-leading team in Dublin and Cork. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in geo-environmental consulting or a related field. This role involves leading complex projects, providing expert advice, and contributing to the growth and development of our geo-environmental services.

Job Responsibilities

• As a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant at Arup, you will :
• Lead and manage geo-environmental projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct site assessments and risk assessments.
• Design and procure geo-environmental site investigations.
• Manage and supervise ground investigations.
• Prepare risk assessments (GQRA and DQRA).
• Advise on soil reuse, and prepare Regulation 27 and Regulation 28 applications.
• Develop and implement remediation strategies.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff.
• Liaise with clients (internal and external), stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Prepare detailed reports e.g. PSA, DQRA and EIAR.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
• Have experience of successful managing the financial delivery of projects (or geo-environmental elements of projects).
• Have a commercial awareness and have contributed to the business development and client relationship management.
• Membership and active participation in relevant professional / industry bodies (e.g. IBN, IAH, EI, IGI, or their equivalents) is an advantage.
