job_description.job_card.job_descriptionContributing to patient database by collecting and documenting patient information Preparing patient rooms for admissions, returning surgical patients, transfers, or discharges Providing general patient care, such as morning care, which may include bed bath, oral hygiene, combing hair, dressing patient, evening care, back rubs, changing bed linens, cleaning overbed table and bedside stand, straightening room, and other general care as necessary throughout the shift Preparing patient for meals, and assisting with meals or feeding the patient Collecting and transporting specimens as ordered or requested Reporting any changes observed in condition or behavior of patients in a timely manner Responding promptly to patient needs and call lights Providing for patient safety through preventative measures Demonstrating skills such as discontinuing peripheral IV, discontinuing indwelling urinary catheter, phlebotomy, EKG, bladder scanning, wound care, obtaining blood products, nasopharyngeal specimen swabs, and ostomy appliance change High school graduate or equivalent preferred Minimum of six-months successful experience as a certified nursing assistant Validated and successful completion of SGHS's Patient Care Technician competencies Certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Georgia American Heart Association BLS Certification Mission-focused to provide safe, quality, accessible, and cost-effective care Pleasant and rewarding workplace with scenic beauty, outdoor activities, mild winters, natural beaches, fine dining, and cultural attractions Collegial yet professional culture with exceptional career-advancement potential and work / life balance Opportunity to use, sharpen, and add to skills without commuting to a large city environment Competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits package including generous Paid Time Off, tuition reimbursement, and wellness programs Part of the prestigious Coastal Community Health, a regional affiliation between Baptist Health and Southeast Georgia Health System
Patient Care Technician, Maternity Care Center, PRN Tier 1, Brunswick
Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic and advanced patient care activities, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
