About The Position

A well-established medical group in North Central Iowa is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 3 years) Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a high-performing team providing full-spectrum anesthesia services at a modern hospital and affiliated ASC.
This is a full-time, hospital-based position offering a unique mix of cardiac and general anesthesia cases, along with opportunities for procedural leadership and CRNA oversight.
Position Overview :
Team Structure : 7 Anesthesiologists + 12 CRNAs
Cases Covered : Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho, OB, Pediatric (non-complex), General
Call Responsibilities :
Cardiac call : Monday–Thursday rotation
General call : Approx. 6 weekends / year + 1 holiday / year
Workload :
1 cardiac case / day (not every day)
5–7 general cases / day when not covering cardiac
CRNA Oversight : Yes (in both hospital and ASC settings when needed)
Trauma : Level II ER; no pain clinic
ORs in Use : 8
Candidate Requirements :
Board Certified / Eligible in Anesthesiology – Required
Cardiac Fellowship and / or TEE Certified (must be able to read, interpret, and bill TEE, not just place probe) – Required
Iowa License or IMLC Eligibility – Required
Iowa CSR & DEA – Required
BLS, ACLS, PALS – Required
COVID Vaccination – Required
H-1B Visa Candidates Accepted
Compensation & Benefits :
Total compensation package : $575,000
Base salary + benefits
Sign-on Bonus : $50,000 (with 3-year commitment)
Student Loan Repayment : Up to $100,000
Relocation Allowance : Up to $10,000

CME :
$10,000 annual allowance
8 weeks of total time off (includes CME)
Medical Allowance : $2,500
