Thanks for visiting Valnet's Freelance Publishing Career Page. This is a paid freelance remote position. The editorial team at MovieWeb.com is looking for a passionate writer to contribute Reality TV articles to the website.

Responsibilities

  • Write articles in MovieWeb’s house style (following the requisite training). This includes fact-checking, formatting, linking, and image sourcing / very basic editing (sizing, brightness, etc.).
  • Brainstorm, pitch, and develop original content ideas based on high-performing Western titles and franchises.
  • Accept and apply feedback from the editorial team.
  • Communicate openly and actively with the editorial team.
  • Work remotely as a freelance contributor, with ability to work from anywhere in North America.
  • Engage with MovieWeb’s large audience, providing the opportunity to make a genuine impact.

Experience and Skills

  • A passion for the content and a drive to grow within the industry.
  • Previous writing experience is preferred; editing experience is a plus.
  • Broad knowledge of Reality TV, including shows such as Summer House, Below Deck, Vanderpump Rules, Real Housewives, The Bachelor, Wheel of Fortune, and other renowned Reality TV programs.
  • Ability to analyze content and back up claims with information from source material.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Ability to write high-quality articles with swift turnaround times.
  • Comfortable working in an entirely virtual environment with strong research skills and cultural awareness.
