Project Management Ops Solutions Engineer
About the Role
The GSW PMO Solutions Engineer will act as an internal consultant, partnering with regional operations and operational support teams to diagnose operational inefficiencies and co-create solutions that fit their unique needs. The Engineer will support and extend the technical capabilities of the Process Improvement function by building, automating, and maintaining digital tools that streamline operations. The Engineer will play a crucial role in turning complex processes into intuitive and streamlined solutions and will explore and implement emerging technologies, including AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Essential Functions
- Collaborate with the GSW PMO Digital Transformation Manager / Director to execute the PMO team's technical vision and automation strategy.
- Conduct workflow analysis and process-mapping sessions with stakeholders to identify the root causes of operational friction.
- Develop and maintain workflows and automations using Power Automate and other scripting tools to reduce manual, repetitive tasks.
- Assist in designing and developing integrations between key business systems, including JD Edwards E1 ERP, SharePoint, Salesforce, and Project Management tools.
- Build custom solutions using C#, JavaScript / TypeScript, SQL, and modern frameworks such as .NET, React, or Node.js.
- Support the technical needs of the GSW Project Management Operations team, troubleshooting issues and providing solutions to end-users.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for all developed solutions.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and platforms that align with team goals.
- Act as a technical consultant to stakeholders, translating business pain points into formal technical requirements for automation or application projects.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work from a company-designed office or field location and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Qualifications
About You
5+ years of experience identifying problems and developing / implementing automation and application solutions.Minimum 1 year of experience with version control (Git / GitHub) and rapid tooling (GitHub Copilot).5+ years of experience developing workflows and automations with Power Automate, Logic Apps, MuleSoft, Boomi, or custom API integrations.4+ years of experience planning and implementing new enterprise software applications (CRM, ERP, or Project Management Software).2+ years of experience or strong interest in AI / LLM development, including prompt engineering and working with models such as GPT via APIs or Azure Cognitive Services.Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree in business, project management, information systems, or related field; a combination of relevant education and experience (minimum 5 years) may be considered in lieu of a degree.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Strong Excel skills, including Power Query and advanced formulas.Proficiency in at least one coding or scripting language such as C#, HTML, JavaScript / TypeScript, PowerShell, SQL, or VBA.Solid understanding of REST APIs.Familiarity with web development frameworks (e.g., ASP.NET, React, Node.js).Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated capacity to deconstruct complex operational processes.Excellent collaboration and communication skills.Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.Compensation & Benefits
