Sr UI Support Engineer

Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts at every stage of their careers. Our client, Dia Software Solutions, is seeking a skilled and dedicated UI Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Elk Grove. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance for our user interfaces. You will leverage your expertise in front-end technologies, including React, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, to resolve issues, improve performance, and ensure a seamless user experience. You will collaborate closely with developers, designers, and other support team members to diagnose problems, implement solutions, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our UI.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users experiencing issues with our user interfaces.
  • Diagnose and resolve UI-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Escalate complex issues to development teams as needed.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and knowledge base articles to assist users and support team members.
  • Monitor UI performance and identify potential issues proactively.
  • Implement fixes and enhancements to improve UI stability and performance.
  • Collaborate with developers and designers to understand UI architecture and functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on UI code quality.
  • Contribute to the development of UI testing strategies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in UI development or support.
  • Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in React.
  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS, ES6+, and TypeScript.
  • Strong UI design experience and a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with designers and other engineers.
  • Familiarity with Redux, Webpack, and Babel.
  • Experience with RESTful / GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with testing tools such as Jest, Cypress, and React Testing Library.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices (CSP, XSS prevention, CSRF handling).
  • Experience with AWS / Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with UI performance monitoring tools.
  • Experience with customer support ticketing systems.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
