We are currently searching for a Part Time Patient Services Specialist to work with our OrthoCarolina Ballantyne Orthopedic Urgent Care team. This schedule for this position is Thursdays and Fridays from 5 : 30pm-9 : 00pm and Sundays from 10 : 00am-2 : 00pm.

The Patient Services Specialist greets patients, prepares forms, collects, verifies and enters patient information into EPIC necessary for the timely and accurate processing of patient claims.

Essential Functions :

• Prepares paperwork necessary for the patient visit.
• Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls, makes appointments, performs Cashier duties as directed including posting of charges,
• Collection of co-payments / co-insurance and balances due.
• Follows the process for release of medical information and FMLA / disability forms completion as requested.
