job_description.job_card.job_descriptionReview building plans and specifications for compliance with codes, covering architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire / life safety, energy conservation, green building standards, accessibility, and egress. Coordinate plan reviews with other public agencies requiring approval. Provide detailed feedback on required corrections and modifications, and guiding applicants through the process. Authorize the issuance of building permits when plans meet all requirements; calculating related fees. Advise and assist stakeholders with the interpretation and application of building regulations, state laws, and local ordinances. Prepare reports for Building Officials on workload, process statistics, new products, and code interpretation issues. Assist at jurisdictional counters as needed, answering public inquiries about plans and permitting requirements. Minimum 5 years of plan check experience. Residential structural experience. Strong municipal experience. ICC Building Plans Examiner Certification.
