The Role

We’re seeking an EHS Engineer to strengthen our safety management systems across manufacturing and industrial construction environments . This role is both strategic and hands on ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 45001 , while driving continuous improvement and cultivating a proactive safety culture on the shop floor and beyond.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and enhance the Safety Management System (SMS) aligned with OSHA, EPA, ISO standards.
  • Audit and inspect manufacturing and construction activities, ensuring procedural compliance .
  • Lead incident investigations , track corrective actions, and verify closure.
  • Review and update safety policies, SOPs, and work instructions .
  • Deliver training programs, toolbox talks, and guidance for supervisors and teams.
  • Manage safety management platforms , digital documentation, and compliance records.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align safety systems with operational excellence.
  • Drive engagement in hazard reporting, near-miss tracking, and safety observations .

  • Year-over-year incident reduction
  • Corrective action closure time
  • Training completion rate
  • Employee participation in safety observations

    • What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in EHS within manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial construction
  • Strong expertise in OSHA, EPA, and ISO 45001 frameworks
  • Professional certifications preferred : CSP, ASP, CHST, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
  • Hands-on experience with machine guarding, audits, high-risk task assessments
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to influence at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software

    • Work Environment

  • Split between office and manufacturing facilities
  • Frequent exposure to noise, dust, heat, heavy machinery, and construction-type activities
  • PPE required on the floor (safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection)
  • Routine travel 25–40% to company plants and project sites
