About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

License : RN (Compact Accepted)

Certifications : BLS; PALS

Must-Have :

• BLS - Basic Life Support Certification (Healthcare Provider / Professional Rescuer)
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification
• Pediatric rehab and long-term acute care experience
• Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, NG tubes
• Familiarity with closed head trauma, encephalitis, VP shunts, wounds, and infectious diseases like VRE, MRSA, and C-Diff
• Knowledge of neuromuscular diseases, spinal cord injuries, cast / splints, and assistive devices
• Pediatrics and medical / surgical experience is necessary
• Rehabilitation experience is preferred
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays

Description :

The position requires a registered nurse with experience in pediatric rehabilitation.

Candidates should possess PALS and BLS certifications and demonstrate a willingness to care for rehabilitation patients.

The inpatient rehabilitation unit specializes in providing care for pediatric patients, helping them regain independence.

The patient population includes those born with disabilities, individuals facing challenges after traumatic accidents, and patients recovering from surgeries that may lead to further deconditioning.

Patients in this unit participate in three hours of therapy each day.

The interdisciplinary team is focused on providing specialized care for pediatric patients.
