Gastroenterology Opportunity | Erie, PA | Prime Location - 2 Hours from Pittsburgh, Cleveland, & Buffalo!

UPMC Hamot located in Erie, Pennsylvania is seeking a board eligible or board certified Gastroenterologist.

Bayfront Digestive Disease, established in 1984, is part of UPMC Hamot's Center for Digestive Health. The practice is focused on the management of digestive disorders in adults and pediatrics (12 years and older) and includes five physicians, thirteen advance practice providers, along with a support staff of 35.

The center unites the region's largest and most comprehensive team of digestive health physicians and surgeons, who provide diagnosis, treatment, and surgery procedures for digestive diseases. An in-house infusion suite can accommodate up to 10 patients.

Bayfront Digestive Disease offers the following procedures : Colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, BRAVO, Capsule Endoscopy, Radiofrequency ablation therapy (HALO?), Radiofrequency (Stretta?), Infusion therapy, and Hepatitis C treatment. Candidate can expect approximately 80% inpatient / procedures and approximately 20% office.

UPMC Hamot uses the latest endoscope technology to help diagnose disease in the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. New high-definition technology provides physicians with sharper images and better contrast. UPMC Hamot is the only hospital in the region currently using this state-of-the-art equipment. The UPMC Hamot GI lab is a designated ASGE Center of Excellence.

Qualifications and details include :

• Board eligible or board certified
• Candidates should have a broad gastroenterology skill set with a willingness to learn new techniques, participate in new procedures and evolve as a gastroenterologist
• Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative disposition
• This job opportunity does not offer J waiver sponsorship
• ERCP not required but preferred. Mentorship provided
