McLeod Software is searching for a visionary leader to drive the mission of shaping the user experience of our products. This is more than a traditional UX roleits a rare opportunity to combine the leadership of a Director of User Experience with the strategic influence of a Product Owner. The Director of User Experience will set a bold vision, inspire a team, and champion a user-first mindset across the company, ensuring our products not only meet customer needs but transform the way our industry works. The Director of User Experience will play a key role in shaping product strategy, leading the UX team, advocating for customers, and driving innovation from concept through launch.

Responsibilities

Define and own the product vision and strategy for assigned applications.

Lead and grow the User Experience department while fostering collaboration.

Conduct research, design solutions, and create guidelines to ensure product consistency and usability.

Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring stories are ready with clear acceptance criteria.

Act as the chief advocate for customers, ensuring needs are met from concept to launch.

Qualifications

Proven leadership experience managing and building UX / UI teams and software products. (preferably : ERP, B2B websites, and / or enterprise-level e-commerce sites)

Demonstrated ability to influence overall product direction beyond features.

Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Hands-on experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
