Overview

Temporary Attorney - Title IX and Civil Rights, full-time on-site role located in Golden, CO.

This position will handle various duties, including providing legal advice, conducting research, and negotiating related to Title IX and civil rights matters. The work includes reviewing, investigating, and evaluating discrimination complaints filed by or on behalf of students.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and conduct legal research related to Title IX and civil rights matters.
  • Review, investigate, and evaluate discrimination complaints.
  • Assist in negotiation and resolution efforts as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with district staff to support compliance and student rights.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado
  • Proficiency in law; newly licensed attorneys welcome
  • Experience in providing legal analysis, research, and written / verbal communication
  • Strong investigation and fact-finding skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience in Title IX and civil rights cases is a plus
