Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg position in a 25-bed critical access facility, requiring an IA or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a critical access hospital
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 5 on the Med / Surg unit
  • Facility offers inpatient services including labor and delivery, acute care, observation, skilled, and ICU
  • Day shift with 3x12 hour shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 00
  • Scheduled to work every third weekend
  • Uses Altera and Sunrise documentation systems
  • First-time travelers are encouraged to apply
  • Solid color scrubs required; any color permitted except patterns
  • Perm staff may return as travelers after a 6 month break
  • Pre-employment modules must be completed before start and are non-billable
  • Locals are accepted at the same rate
  • No orientation testing or pre-hire modules required

  • Active IA or compact state RN license in hand at the time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years recent Medical Surgical RN experience required
  • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS required prior to start date
  • References : At least 2 professional references within the past 3 years
  • Altera documentation system experience preferred
