Description :

As a Sprinter Van Driver, you are responsible for operating a vehicle with a max capacity of 10,000 pounds GVW. You are responsible for the safety of all equipment used while on the clock and for maintaining the security & integrity of all products being transported.

Summary of essential job functions

• Drive a 16’ Box Truck or smaller non-commercial vehicle to transport Cargo
• Pre / Post trip vehicle inspection to ensure no damage & basic mechanical safety as well as cargo security
• Notify dispatch of any necessary vehicle service or repairs
• Obtain receipts and signatures for all delivered goods
• Check load related documentation to ensure proper loading / unloading is complete and accurate
• Maneuver vehicle into loading / unloading positions following signals from shipper / consignee
• Ensure cargo is properly loaded / unloaded & secured using load bars and straps always
• Maintain proper documentation for temperature-controlled shipments
• Follow predetermined route plans
• Communicate status changes with dispatch as well as any irregularities throughout transit
• Remove debris from cargo area & clean as required
• Obey all local traffic laws
