Key Job Details – Mammography Tech Locum Tenens Location : Florence, SC 29506 (South Carolina healthcare jobs) Department : Breast Imaging (4 mammography rooms & mobile mammography van) Assignment Type : Locum tenens / travel contract Start Date : August 17, 2025 End Date : November 15, 2025 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM (8-hour day shifts) Hours per Week : 40 Estimated Weekly Pay : $2120–$2180 per week Exams per Day : 15-20 mammography exams per technologist Mammography Technologist Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist or Radiologic Technologist Current ARRT (RTR-M) Mammography certification required Proficient in performing screening mammograms, diagnostic mammography, stereotactic biopsy, and Bone Density / DXA exams Thorough knowledge of MQSA standards and compliance in a clinical setting Excellent communication and patient care skills Completion of onboarding requirements (background check, health screenings, skills checklist, etc.) Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities Maintain a professional image and deliver exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and healthcare colleagues Verify patient identity and ensure accurate mammography procedures are performed Clearly explain imaging procedures and expectations to patients, addressing concerns to reduce anxiety Consistently position patients and select appropriate technical factors for optimal image quality Ensure all mammography images are transferred to PACS and meet quality standards for radiologist review Demonstrate proficiency with mammography and radiologic imaging equipment Document all required information in accordance with MQSA and facility policies Independently perform all mammography and bone density exams after orientation Apply now to join our healthcare team in Florence, SC, and make a difference as a Mammography Technologist on this rewarding locum tenens assignment!
