OVERVIEW : The primary purpose and function of this position is to provide preventative maintenance and repair services at customer locations in accordance with established procedures and methods using appropriate tools, test equipment, and replacement parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide service to customers in accordance with Savaria Patient Care’s terms and conditions
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and Savaria Patient Care’s employees
- Accurately identifies customer expectations and needs and recommend products and services based on observed customer needs
- Participate in all training programs and demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and concepts obtained from these training programs
- Prepare and submit accurate reports on time
- Maintain expenses and required inventory in accordance with Savaria Patient Care’s guidelines
- Comply with all Savaria Patient Care, customer, and government Health and Safety regulations
- Responsible for regular maintenance and cleanliness of vehicle
- Accountable for maintaining vehicle inventory, tool inventory and good condition of tools provided
- Commitment to providing superior customer service
- On occasion and as required, assist with training new hires via job shadowing and demonstration of tasks.

High school diploma2-4 years’ experience or training in technical support role or technical repair role in the biomedical device field or equivalent field is an assetPrevious experience in the health care industry is an assetCOMPUTER SKILLS :
Ability to operate and navigate a mobile phone (Android / IOS), PC and / or tablet (Microsoft OS).Ability to navigate, complete, and save Adobe PDF fillable forms.Competency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications required (Word, Excel).CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR REGISTRATIONS :
OSHA 10 Hour Certification required within 90 days of onboarding (paid by employer); OSHA 30 Hour Certification preferred.Valid driver's license in good standing.Must be able to pass routine background checks.PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
The employee may frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift. Employee will be required to regularly climb ladders (minimum 8 feet) and safely carry up to 26lbs. lift motors up and down ladders. Employee must be able to occasionally lift 23lbs. and use mechanical assistance to lift weights in excess of OSHA regulated allowable amounts.TRAVEL :
Travel to customer locations within assigned territory. Some overnight travel will be required.WORK ENVIRONMENT :
This position works in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels.This position may be required to enter acute and long-term care rooms subject to infection control precaution procedures.
