Overview

This role is based out of our 605 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10158, USA office. Informa Global Markets is hiring an analyst for its US Credit team. Applications are invited from reporters, market analysts and practitioners with broad experience of DCM and the wider context across related markets and adjacent asset classes. Focus areas include providing real-time, insightful content to tight deadlines that leverages IGM’s new issue data to help customers stay informed and make better decisions. IGM’s credit market coverage focuses on the primary syndicated bond market, tracking new issues individually and in aggregate, and presenting value-added intelligence via reports and data visualization. The successful candidate will be integral in maintaining and developing IGM Credit Markets as a must-have subscription service through a confident, innovative approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a team to produce real-time, agenda-setting, insightful and opinionated coverage of US credit markets for a professional audience, focusing on the syndicated primary debt market.
  • Contribute pre- and post-launch analysis of major new bond issues using timely market talk on rumored supply, price talk, book build and reception.
  • Calculate and verify key relative value measures to help gauge market conditions.
  • Develop and maintain deep contacts with key industry players to enrich coverage and shape new content initiatives.
  • Regularly produce differentiated content and data-driven reports highlighting industry trends and supply / demand dynamics.
  • Support marketing initiatives as required, including webinars and relevant video content.
  • Support customer outreach via visits and / or calls.
  • Provide cover for colleagues to ensure continuity and broader market coverage as needed.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years' experience in directly relevant roles as outlined above.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality, accurate, compelling analysis and commentary in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep contacts within the US bond market, including key industry players on both sell- and buy-side.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

    • The salary range for this role is $120k to 130k based on experience.
