Department / Unit Summary
- Monday - Friday position with limited weekend requirements.
- Limited call : one night call every other week and one weekend call rotating through the department (approximately every 10-12 weeks).
- Phase 1 recovery : recover patients for 30 minutes to one hour, then hand off to another nurse.
- Phase 2 recovery : review discharge paperwork with family, provide snacks and medications, and discharge patients who meet requirements.

Applicants should possess a current state RN license or a current multistate compact license and have an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
Additional Requirements Include :
Current American Heart Association BLS certification (or obtain within 90 days after hire).Current American Heart Association ACLS certification (or obtain within 6 months after hire).Current American Heart Association PALS certification (or obtain within 6 months after hire).Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.Essential Functions
Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physician, patient, and family.Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, and psychosocial support.Evaluate learning needs of patients and families, providing education appropriate to age, culture, and condition.Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.Respond appropriately to emergencies or distressful situations.Maintain positive working relationships within the department and with other departments for the benefit of patients.About Our Health System
