• IV start experience
• Ventilator management experience
• Telemetry experience
• CPAP / BiPAP management experience
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Description :

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.

Any call-offs or additional RTO in the unit may result in cancellation.

The unit accepts first-time travelers.

Travelers must have a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Weekend requirements include 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week period, although staffing needs may require more.

The patient population includes individuals with COPD, pneumonia, respiratory distress, and COVID-19.

The unit is a mixed acuity setting with a target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 4-5, with a maximum of 1 : 6 in extreme situations.

Staffing resources include an Admission / Discharge nurse, an Assistant Nurse Manager, and a Vascular Access Team.

The unit consists of 48 beds and specializes in high-acuity medical-surgical patients.

Specific patient care may involve managing chronic trach / vent patients.

Travelers must float to like units as needed.

All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting.

A teamwork approach and adherence to behavioral expectations are required.

Floating to other units based on skill sets and census is common.

Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays without RTO.

Candidates are expected to adhere to a fatigue policy.

Candidates may be required to complete modules prior to the start.
