About The Position

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Must-Have : IV starts, Telemetry

Interpretation of dysrhythmias

Management of dysrhythmias

Other Med-Surg and Telemetry skills

Description :

Travelers will float as needed.

Floating is expected to other Med-Surg, Telemetry, and lower acuity settings within skillset.

Ratios in the Emergency Department are 1 : 5.

Some assignments may have a possible ratio of 1 : 6.

The facility operates at over 100% capacity.

Weekend requirements include 2 shifts per 4-week schedule, which may vary based on unit needs.

No locals are accepted within a 75-mile radius.

COVID vaccination is required, with religious and medical exemptions accepted.

Candidates may be first-time travelers.

Travelers will not be on call.

The facility can call off staff 3 times throughout the assignment.

Daily census of the facility runs above 100% capacity.

Major patient diagnoses include heart failure, COPD, renal transplant, trauma, and stroke among others.

Travelers should expect limited ancillary support on most floors.

Compliance documents must be completed promptly.

Travelers should provide a written transportation plan if they do not possess a valid driver’s license.

Special equipment includes Phillips cardiac monitors.

Travelers are encouraged to limit requested time off to 7 days or less to expedite the process.

No requests for time off can be made during the first 7 days of the contract or on the last day.

Special procedures include floating to other settings as needed.

E-learning modules are billable up to 4 hours, with any time spent beyond that considered non-billable.

All modules are recorded through the unit educators.
