  • Setting : Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry Unit (Tower 2)\n
  • Assignment Type : Locum Tenens (Travel RN Contract)\n
  • Start Date : October 27, 2025\n
  • End Date : January 26, 2026\n
  • Duration : 13 weeks\n
  • Shift : Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (18 : 45 - 07 : 15)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,830 - $1,880\n
  • Patient Ratios : 1 : 5 (nights / weekends)\n
  • Floating : As needed to other hospital departments\n
  • Weekend / Holiday : As needed; must work 2 of 3 major holidays (no RTO between Christmas and New Year’s)\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Stepdown or Telemetry RN experience\n
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license – Pennsylvania RN license preferred\n
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or ARC only)\n
  • EPIC EMR experience required\n
  • Ability to provide care for COVID-19 patients as needed\n
  • Must be tobacco and fragrance free\n
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical / religious exemptions considered)\n

    • \n\nCardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries, interventions, and cardiac medical conditions\n
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; manage intermediate-level care patients\n
  • Administer medications, manage cardiac drips (no titration), and perform advanced cardiac and vascular nursing interventions\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response\n
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient care coordination\n
  • Float to other nursing units as needed and adapt to changing patient care needs\n
  • Care for patients with diagnoses such as post-open heart, LVAD, heart failure, and acute coronary syndrome\n
  • Follow all facility policies regarding infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality\n
