• Location : Aspirus Wausau Hospital approx. 250 bed hospital Level II trauma center
• Contract Length : 7 weeks
• Start Date : 12 / 29 / 2025 - NO earlier starts
• Guaranteed Hours Per Week : 40
• Shift Requirements : variable PM shift. M-F 4pm to midnight (PM shift)
• PM shift will typically have 2 scheduled outpatients to scan (4pm & 4 : 45pm) and will mostly provide in-house coverage for after hour exams ordered from the ED, Birthing Center and inpatient floor Rotating weekend / rotating holidays.
• Float Requirements : May be required to float to Aspirus Merrill, Antigo, Medford and Stanley.
• On Call / Call Back Requirements : weeknight call - approx. 3 nights per month from midnight to 6 : 45am . We do have a person also on call from 5 : 30pm until midnight in the event the PM person is unable to work. weekend call - approx. 2 weekends in 13-week contract. we staff a Sat and Sun shift from 8am - 4pm, call coverage on the weekend is from midnight Friday to 6 : 45am Monday morning. Call response time : 45 minutes
• Required Certifications : ARDMS certified in OB / GYN & ABD. AHA BLS.
• Minimum Experience : 2 years, and 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimester OB experience needed. pylorus, appendix and possible fetal brain from NICU experience.
• Charting Experience : Epic - preferred
• Unit Specific Skillset : Excellent Imaging experience with strong attention to detail, Team player that provides quality patient care and communicates effectively with others
• Unit Overview : 4 ultrasound units (Philips EPIQ Elites) in a hospital setting licensed for 300 beds. Perform approximately 10-12 exams per day.
• We have a separate Echo / Vascular department - we do not perform any DVT exams in our area
• We have a separate Breast Health Center that performs Breast ultrasounds
• We are separate from IR and do not perform US guided procedures other than exception of HSGs
• Unit Information (Case type) Perform general ultrasound exams including but not limited to Abdomen, Small Parts, GYN and OB (including Fetal Anatomy scans). Strong emphasis in OB preferred. pylorus, appendix and possible fetal brain from our NICU. Fast paced environment that is team oriented.
