Class A Truck Driver

Trillium Drivers is looking for Class A Drivers in the Eastford, CT area!

Drivers will be handling local truckload deliveries, primarily drop & hook, no touch freight. You will be picking up trailers at a customer facility and delivering them to the plant daily, as well as delivering trailers with repaired pallets to the customer's facilities.

Schedule is Monday through Friday 9AM-5PM with occasional OT. Pay rate is $24 / hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • It is a double axle truck with a 53' trailer.
  • Deliver and pick up tractor-trailers containing wooden pallets within certain miles.
  • Expected to make a certain number of deliveries.
  • Expected to work 50+ hours / week.
  • Complete paperwork at customer site verifying delivery and retrieval of pallets.
  • Inspect truck for defects before and after trips.
  • Submit reports after trips indicating truck conditions.

Experience and Qualifications :

  • Minimum 23 years of age.
  • Must Possess a valid class A license to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician.
  • 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50-75 pounds.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to be worn (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes).
