PURPOSE :

To assist State Extension Specialist to develop evaluations and surveys.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Main role is to develop evaluations and surveys during educational events.
  • Data entry.
  • Develop surveys to determine consumer and vendor preferences at LU-Farmers Market.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Assist with soil sample collection at the Finca EcoFarm and other demonstration plots.
  • Miscellaneous activities to support the work done by State Extension Specialist.
  • Offer support at the LU-Farmers Market on Saturday mornings, when necessary.
  • Set up a vendor table for the SCP to promote the program and events.

    • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Have a master's degree in Sustainable Agriculture or related fields.

    • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics :

  • Being able to work as a team member.
  • Being able to work on his / her own and follow instructions.
  • Some knowledge of native plants and vegetables.

    • PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

  • The ability to lift heavy objects.
  • The ability to remain on your feet for long periods.
  • Ability to work under different weather conditions.
