ER RN Job Details - Longview, TX Location : Longview, Texas 75601 (East Texas nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Emergency Department (ED) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 - End : 1 / 17 / 2026) Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (8 : 00 PM - 8 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $1570 - $1680 Employment Type : Travel Nursing Floating : Required between 4 EDs and inpatient units (IMC / ICU as appropriate) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Texas RN license or compact state license (Texas nursing jobs) Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only) Current TNCC certification Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Ability to float between EDs and inpatient units (IMC / ICU) as needed ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver routine and complex patient care in the Emergency Department Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation Administer medications and treatments per clinical protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided Support the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health issues and available resources Float to other EDs and inpatient units (IMC / ICU) based on volume and experience Participate in orientation and competency validation as required Experience the welcoming atmosphere of Longview, Texas—a city renowned for its community spirit, scenic parks, and lively local events.
