Seasonal General Laborer - Redemption Center

Salary Range : Starting at $19.00

Speedy is looking for seasonal help to assist our dedicated Redemption Center team in Topsham, ME. This position will last, potentially, through the holidays, and is a blend of General Labor and Customer Service. Ideal candidates will be interacting with customers as they drop off and redeem their recyclable beverages at our facility. Position Responsibilities :

• Assist with the receipt and processing of containers returned by customers.
• Receive, clean, and stack beverage container Collapsible bins using both manual and power equipment.
• Operate machinery designed to sort, count, and compact empty beverage containers.
• Clean and maintain sorting areas.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and organization.
• Safety first.
• Arrive to the facility on time and ready to work.

Skills And Experience :

Basic math and counting skills.

Communication skills, both verbal and written, sufficient to perform the job and communicate mechanical maintenance needs.

Work experience in a warehouse or production environment is helpful.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Stand for an extended time period.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Ability to use computers and other technical systems.
