Schedule Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevents illness and injury, and alleviates suffering through diagnosis and treatment of human responses while advocating for individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act and United Health Services policies. Responsibilities Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients, acting as a primary nurse and / or accountable nurse. Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management. Administer medications safely in accordance with United Health Services policy. Participate in and support the Nursing Shared Governance Model. Engage in professional development and continuing education. Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Nursing (RN) experience of six months to three years. Current NYS RN License. BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
