Position Overview : We are currently seeking a dedicated Medical Director to oversee our medical operations and provide leadership and guidance to our healthcare team in the Albuquerque, NM area. The Medical Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and promoting a culture of excellence. This position offers a full-time schedule with flexible shifts and competitive compensation. Responsibilities : Provide clinical leadership and oversight to the medical staff, including physicians, advanced practice clinicians (APCs), and other healthcare professionals. Develop and implement policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based medical care in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with department managers, nursing leadership, and other stakeholders to optimize patient flow, enhance operational efficiency, and improve patient outcomes. Serve as a liaison between medical staff and hospital administration, representing the interests of the medical staff and advocating for resources and support as needed. Provide medical consultation and guidance to healthcare providers regarding complex patient cases, clinical protocols, and treatment options. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and performance evaluation processes to monitor and enhance the quality and safety of patient care. Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in medical practice and technology, and incorporate best practices into clinical operations. Foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous learning among medical staff and other healthcare team members. Requirements : BC / BE ABEM, ABFP, ABIM, and AOBEM with ED experience Current licensure as a physician in the state of New Mexico Previous experience in a leadership or management role is preferred but not required. Strong clinical skills and proficiency in acute care management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and adapt to changing priorities and situations.
