JOB OVERVIEW

  • Job Title : Interventional Radiologist
  • Job Type : Locum Tenens
  • Location : Cooperstown, NY
  • Service Setting : Hospital (IR / DX Department)
  • Coverage Type : Clinical Only (No Call)
  • Coverage Period : ASAP – Ongoing
  • Clinical Shift Schedule : Mon–Fri, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (8 hours with lunch break)

PATIENT INFORMATION

  • Patient Volume / Census : 5–8 patients / day
  • Admissions : No
  • Rounding : Not Included
  • Phone Consults : No
  • Case Mix : 60% IR / 40% Diagnostic (DX)

    • FACILITY INFORMATION

  • EMR System : Epic
  • Office Equipment Available : Philips angio suites (experience preferred)
  • Specialty Backup Available : IR / DX physicians on staff
  • Support Staff Available : No APP coverage
  • Reason for Coverage : Vacancy (ongoing until full-time hire)

    • COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    • REQUIRED PROCEDURES

  • Biopsy
  • Drainage
  • Tube placement
  • Line placement
  • Nephrostomies
  • Biliary drainages
  • Arterial angiograms (if possible)

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active NY license
  • Board : Board Certified
  • Certifications : EPIC training required
  • Experience : Experience with Philips angio suites preferred
  • Other Qualifications : Onsite only; no remote reading

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform interventional radiology procedures listed above safely and efficiently
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging (X-ray, CT, Ultrasound) as needed
  • Document all encounters / procedures accurately within Epic EMR
  • Collaborate with IR / DX physician team; work independently without APP coverage
  • Uphold hospital policies, quality metrics, and patient safety standards
