Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux / Compute & Storage) - Financial Services

Department : Infrastructure

Location : Manhattan, NY  (4 days a week on-site)  Must live local or we willing to move to the NYC area on the first day of hire.

Note - This role needs someone who can handle Linux at scale + advanced distributed storage platforms like GPFS or WEKA. - No Exceptions.  They are dealing with  high-performance, large-scale storage platforms where latency and throughput really matter.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Linux, compute, and storage systems to join our team in Manhattan. In this role, you will design, build, and manage infrastructure platforms that scale with business growth. You'll work across bare metal, hypervisors, containers, and public cloud environments , ensuring high performance and reliability.

Your day-to-day work will involve system installation and configuration, performance optimization, monitoring and alerting, automation, and tool development. This hands-on role requires technical depth and collaboration across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage systems at scale through standardization, automation, testing, and monitoring
• Define and enforce infrastructure standards for source control, testing, CI / CD, OS, patches, and configuration management
• Support a distributed compute environment and multi-petabyte storage platforms
• Install, configure, and monitor RHEL-based Linux systems
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across the full stack
• Partner with stakeholders to prioritize and deliver both short-term and long-term objectives
