Description of the Position :
The team member will perform a variety of specialized activities involved in the installation, configuration, operation, modification, and repair of computer, telecommunications, multimedia equipment, mobile devices, and related hardware and software. This position provides support to technology users and may direct others as needed. The role requires working independently with minimal supervision, relying on experience, guidelines, and good judgment.
Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks :
- Support and uphold Valley View Casino & Hotel's Standards of Excellence.
- Maintain positive guest relations, resolve complaints, and ensure satisfaction.
- Install and configure workstations, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Install software, maintaining security levels and access rights.
- Consult with users on project requirements.
- Inspect equipment, identify problems, and repair as needed.
- Participate in departmental meetings.
- Ensure high service levels for all systems users.
- Conduct inventory and maintain accurate records of all systems.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant software and network applications.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding software, hardware, or phone issues.
- Secure server rooms and IT areas, with access approved by management.
- Use creativity and judgment in duties, performing tasks independently based on guidelines.
- Safeguard confidentiality and privacy of all information.
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and voicemails promptly and accurately.
- Stay informed about company facilities and events to advise guests and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain professionalism, ethical conduct, and consistent attendance.
Required Qualifications :
Technical Degree in Computer Science or related field, or two years of relevant experience / training, or equivalent combination.Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English.Ability to interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals.Effective communication skills using various tools.Good problem-solving and mathematical skills.Excellent judgment, guest service skills, and ability to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.Ability to pass auditions, skill tests, and drug screening.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with phone systems, POS, Apple equipment, property management, hospitality, or gaming systems.Experience in a casino or gaming environment.Physical Requirements :
Good vision and hearing for operating equipment and navigating environments.Ability to stand, walk, sit, and manipulate tools and equipment.Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.Working Conditions :
Availability to work any shift as the casino operates 24 / 7.Exposure to tobacco smoke, moving parts, and airborne particles.Inside environmental conditions with occasional outside work and varying temperatures.Noise levels range from moderate to loud.Other Information :
