Junior Interior Designer / Project Manager

Product designer and interior designer with a boutique firm in West Hollywood is looking for a junior interior designer. The company handles a mix of residential and commercial projects. The candidate must be highly proficient in CAD production of full sets and complete bid and permit-ready construction drawings. The role involves guiding a project from concept through presentations, selecting hard and soft furnishings, creating design and construction drawings, handling project bids and budgets, purchasing and expediting, and exemplary project management through final punch list.

It is a position for individuals seeking direct client relationships, more design autonomy, and a commitment to design as a career.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience for the position.
• Formal residential and commercial design leadership.
• Ability to oversee a project from initial concept through to completion with pride in capabilities.
• Exemplary organizational skills and a personable demeanor.
• Proficiency in developing a full set of design and construction drawings.
• Knowledge and resourcing skills for material, furniture, finishes, specifications, and unique items.
• Project budgeting of materials, construction costing, and bids.
• Product and material order purchasing, expediting, and working with vendors.
• Exceptional project management skills with ability to multi-task and be proactive.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Photoshop, and SketchUp.
• Studio Designer and / or 3ds Max experience a plus.
• There is consideration to produce work in Revit; experience is helpful.
• Opportunity to participate in product design.
