Our client, a growing Monoline Workers' Compensation Insurance Carrier, is looking to add an experienced Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Consultant to support their continued expansion throughout the state of Texas. This individual will be responsible for independently managing a caseload of lost time claims from start to finish, applying sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of Texas Workers’ Compensation laws. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering quality outcomes while providing exceptional service to injured workers, employers, and agency partners. This role requires an active TX Adjuster’s License and residence within a commutable distance to the Houston, TX office.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of 90 - 100 moderate to complex Texas Workers’ Compensation claims with minimal supervision.
Conduct thorough investigations, direct medical management, and drive early return-to-work strategies.
Oversee litigation, collaborate with defense counsel, and pursue favorable claim resolutions.
Set and maintain accurate reserves while ensuring files are actively managed.
Prepare and present serious claim reviews to management and committees.
Provide mentorship and participate in training activities as needed.
Consistently deliver high-quality customer service and adhere to established best practices.
Requirements
5 - 10+ years’ experience handling Texas Workers' Compensation Lost Time claims.
Strong working knowledge of Texas Workers’ Compensation laws and procedures.
Active Texas Adjuster’s License required.
Prior experience handling litigated claims.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
