Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial / Mechanical / Product Engineer to join our operations team. In this role, you will transform design concepts into production-ready solutions, create precise CAD shop drawings, and address quality issues based on customer feedback. You will serve as a liaison between sales and operations, ensuring product compliance with industry standards (CPSC, BIFMA, etc.) and managing our item number database.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recommend design improvements to enhance product quality, manufacturability, and efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records of engineering changes, design modifications, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety guidelines, and customer specifications.
  • Travel to customer locations if necessary to investigate and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Manage item number database and engineering documentation.
  • Create accurate and comprehensive shop drawings using CAD, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including travel when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in engineering or product design (internship or co-op experience a plus).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software (3D CAD experience is a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills for working with both internal teams and customers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed for customer site visits.
