Overview Job Title : Mechanical Designer / Drafter / CAD Technician
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer, Drafter, or CAD Technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recreating existing designs into 2D and 3D models and programming CNC machinery such as turret punches and laser etching systems. This role requires proficiency in SolidWorks, ProE, or Fusion 360 and a strong understanding of manufacturing environments, particularly metal fabrication. Candidates must be able to follow production and programming guidelines to ensure quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities Recreate existing designs into 2D and 3D models.
Program CNC machinery such as turret punches and laser etching systems.
Ensure adherence to production and programming guidelines.
Maintain quality and efficiency in design and programming tasks.
Essential Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in SolidWorks, ProE, or Fusion 360.
Experience in creating 2D and 3D models from existing designs.
Ability to send programs to CNC machinery (e.g., turret punches, laser etching).
Familiarity with manufacturing environments, especially metal fabrication.
Understanding of production and programming guidelines.
Exposure to multiple CAD platforms.
Experience in a high-volume production setting.
Ability to troubleshoot and optimize machine programs.
3D Design, Manufacturing, Drafting.
Experience with sheet metal, plastics, and BOM.
A diploma in a related field and relevant internship experience.
Pay and Benefits Pay range : $25.00 – $30.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
