About The Position

Certifications : BLS required, CNOR preferred

Scrub or circulate procedures

Room set up

Room turnover

Obtaining disposables and instrument sets as needed

Sterile technique

Central line setup

Arterial line setup

Belmont setup and operation

Cell saver setup

Description : Days will vary.

General comments : The unit has a patient ratio of 1 : 1 and features a staff composed of a board runner, charge nurse, service line coordinators, and ancillary assistance for room turnovers.

Equipment includes Belmont, ESU, and positioning equipment.

Documentation is done through Meditech Expanse.

Scheduling requirements include RN shifts of 7 AM to 4 PM Monday to Thursday, or 7 AM to 3 PM Monday to Friday.

Floating policy allows for floating to main operating rooms.

Direct contact with patients is required, necessitating excellent communication skills, provider relations, and a team approach to problem solving and issue resolution.

Candidates should exhibit forward-thinking abilities and proactively plan for potential issues.

Teamwork is essential.

The unit performs procedures such as open heart surgeries, CABGs, MVRs, TVRs, AVRs, VATs, and vascular procedures.
