We're looking for an Administrative Coordinator to work in our Child Support Enforcement Office in Caddo Parish providing support to a team of case workers and attorneys within the child support department.

Job Duties :

NOTE : Positions allocated at this level tend to focus on a few examples of work as listed below :

Serve as receptionist for the office

Greet visitors and clients and insure that unauthorized people do not proceed past the lobby

Uses judgment and discretion in sensitive or tense situations and monitors the flow of clients. Maintains daily records of visitors.

Prepare packets for the Process Server and uses EXCEL logs and files

Assists caseworkers by researching the child support system to locate and identify custodial information, accept payments, prepares letters

Process incoming and outgoing mail

Input data for case records including information updates, court actions, court order information, and tracking information

Coordinate paternity testing with phlebotomist, prepare documents for paternity establishment and work with paternity testing company for updates and confirmations

Provide basic assistance to caseworkers including entering child support debts, medical support judgments and other data once a judgment is established

Screen incoming mail by understanding complex documents to determine the appropriate action and destination

Position-Specific Details :

Location : This vacancy is located in the Caddo Parish Child Support Enforcement Office.

Career Progression : This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG) and may be filled as an Administrative Coordinator 1, 2, or 3. The level at which the vacancy is filled will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series.

Compensation : The actual starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.

Appointment Type : This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
