Greenbelt, MD

Pay From : $40 per hour

MUST :

Must have Registered Nurse Licensure to work in the state of Maryland

Must have Oncology and / or biologic infusion therapy experience

Must have experience with Primary and Secondary tubing

Must have knowledge of piggyback bags

Must be organized with a strong attention to detail

Must hold an ACL, BLS, and CPR

DUTIES :

Registered Nurse will be responsible for, but not limited to the following :

Preparing patients for chemotherapy

Chemotherapy infusion

Basic familiarity of proper medication dosing and use

Provide patient education Analyzes assessment data gathered from patient and family to ensure completion of database and plan of care within identified timeframes

Helps coordinates care for the outpatient oncology population in collaboration with the physician and healthcare team.

Directs prioritization and organization for complex patients

Documentation exemplifies adherence to the highest standards of practice

Anticipates and proactively plans for educational needs verified with patient and family throughout the hospital / outpatient stay and prior to discharge

Excels in organizational skills, adjusts for changes and is able to complete assignments on time

Role Models caring in all encounters with patient and family as evidenced by feedback from parents and an increase in patient satisfaction scores
