Responsibilities :

The Purchasing Director will lead all sourcing and procurement activities for direct materials and capital investments, supporting new product launches and ongoing production :

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key commodities : injection-molded plastics, rubber gaskets, die castings, wire harnesses, and connectors
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation of contracts, and management of long-term agreements
• Drive cost reduction initiatives, VA / VE workshops, and supplier cost breakdown analysis
• Manage procurement of tooling, fixtures, and automation equipment
• Support cross-functional teams during APQP and product launch phases
• Oversee FAT / SAT and technical acceptance of capital equipment
• Use ERP / MRP systems to manage POs, delivery schedules, and inventory alignment
• Identify and implement supplier localization and dual-source strategies
• Other duties as assigned
