Our comprehensive services include private duty nursing, therapy, skilled nursing, certified nursing assistant (CNA), and IHSS / caregiver support — all aimed at keeping our patients healthy and safe at home.

Job Summary

The IHSS Director provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to eligible individuals. This role is responsible for regulatory compliance, program development, staff supervision, fiscal management, and community outreach. The Director serves as the primary liaison between the agency, government IHSS offices, providers, and consumers, promoting independence, dignity, and safety for clients receiving in-home care.

Salary :

  • $90,000 – $105,000 annually , commensurate with experience

Schedule :

  • Hybrid role based out of any of our Colorado locations — Aurora, Westminster, Loveland, or Colorado Springs
  • Reports To :

  • Executive Director of Operations
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall management and direction of IHSS operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to ensure program efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance
  • Oversee service delivery to ensure clients receive appropriate care in accordance with individualized service plans
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate IHSS staff while fostering professional growth and accountability
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local IHSS regulations and labor laws
  • Coordinate audits, quality assurance reviews, and corrective action plans as needed
  • Assist with developing and managing the IHSS program budget, monitoring expenditures, reimbursements, and cost controls
  • Identify opportunities for program expansion and operational improvement
  • Act as a liaison between the agency, clients, caregivers, government agencies, and community partners
  • Represent Amazing Care at community events, stakeholder meetings, and advocacy forums
  • Build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally to enhance service delivery and client outcomes
  • Requirements

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required . Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or Human Services preferred
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in home health, IHSS, or community-based care programs
  • At least 3 years of leadership or management experience in a healthcare or social services setting
  • Experience with Medicaid waiver programs , state IHSS regulations , and case management practices
  • Proven success in program development , budget oversight , and regulatory compliance
  • Licenses & Certifications

  • Current RN, LCSW, or related professional license preferred (depending on state requirements)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • CPR / First Aid certification preferred
