Job Title : Mitigation Technician

Job Description :

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Mitigation Technician to join our team here at Sid Grinker Restoration. The ideal candidate will have experience in disaster recovery and property restoration, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service. As a Mitigation Technician, you will be responsible for assessing and mitigating damages caused by water, fire, and mold in residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities :

  • Respond to emergency situations and assess the extent of property damage
  • Develop and implement mitigation plans to minimize further damage and restore properties to their pre-loss condition
  • Operate various equipment, such as water extraction machines, dehumidifiers, and air movers, to remove water and moisture from affected areas
  • Perform controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials, such as drywall, flooring, and insulation
  • Apply antimicrobial treatments to prevent mold growth and sanitize affected areas
  • Monitor and document the drying process to ensure proper drying and prevent secondary damage
  • Communicate effectively with property owners, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders throughout the mitigation process
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry best practices

Requirements : Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in water, fire, or mold mitigation is preferred
  • IICRC certifications in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) are a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to be on-call for emergency situations, including nights, weekends, and holidays
