job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPosition is in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a hospital Patient population includes cardiothoracic surgery, cardiac and thoracic procedures, heart and / or lung transplants, and medical device management Requires work on a day / night rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts (0700-1930 or 1900-0730), every other weekend, and some holidays Travelers are required to float first and may be assigned to multiple units within the organization based on staffing needs Utilizes the NextStage CVVH machine and requires telemetry and basic arrhythmia monitoring Role involves caring for critically ill cardiac patients, including those undergoing heart / lung transplants and advanced cardiac procedures Expect to work as part of an interdisciplinary team in a high-acuity setting A one-week orientation is provided prior to starting clinical duties Strict pass / fail telemetry exam required prior to starting assignment, with two attempts allowed First-time travelers may be accepted depending on the unit Holiday coverage is required as assigned Department has specific rotating orientation schedules and start times Active WI or compact RN license must be in hand for consideration Minimum two years of acute care CVICU experience within the last three years required Experience with NextStage CVVH machine required BLS and ACLS certification required from the American Heart Association Basic arrhythmia experience required and must pass pre-employment telemetry test Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the work site location Locals are not accepted for this contract High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
