Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking an Business Systems Analyst-Payroll and Benefits to join our team.

JOB SUMMARY

This role will be a key liaison between payroll and benefits stakeholders and the ERP implementation team, leading efforts to modernize and streamline processes, improve data analytics, and align with best practices. This role supports process transformation across payroll, benefits, HR, and finance throughout the ERP implementation lifecycle. Responsibilities include driving automation, enhancing data management, and leading change management. The position will work with cross-functional teams to improve processes in areas such as HR, accounting, budgeting, payroll, and procurement. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and project management skills, with experience in large project implementations, organizational change, and user adoption.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Five (5) years of ERP Systems experience is REQUIRED.
  • Any combination of education and experience of the following that provides the necessary knowledge and skills :

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting, business, or a related field.

  • Five (5) years of professional experience in absence management, benefits, time and labor, payroll, position control, budgeting, or a related area.
  • POSITION EXPECTATIONS

    This position requires subject matter expertise in the following functional areas across the Payroll and Benefits :

  • Payroll, Absence Management, Time & Labor, Workers Compensation, Compliance with State and Federal Laws, Self-Service Portal.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with one or more ERP systems.
  • Effective communication, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective skills in planning and organizing corresponding activities.
  • Familiar with the latest technology as it relates to the purchase of equipment and programs.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and set priorities.
  • Ability to gain cooperation from various entities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with administrators, licensed, and support professional employees, and outside agency representatives.
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet mandates.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Payroll, payroll tax, Internal Revenue Service payroll tax code, governmental accounting practices, computerized business systems, and personal computers.
  • Payroll accounting information systems; methods and procedures of time reporting; auditing and financial accounting.
  • Budget management and controls, position control, position budgeting, and fiscal forecasting.
  • Local government and / or state workers' compensation and compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Change management, including the ability to lead small groups and collaborate with all levels of impacted offices, including clerical, paraprofessional, professional, and management positions; collaborative approaches that involves listening, communicating, and negotiating; continuous efforts to resolve unyielding problems; and implementing change management strategies to ease the transition for end-users.
  • Other necessary skills include project management; performing mathematical calculations; using personal and enterprise resource planning computer applications (including spreadsheets, word processing, computerized payroll and general ledger), analyzing financial data; identifying and correcting inaccuracies; communicating in writing and verbally with a wide range of technical and non-technical people; interacting effectively with a wide variety of professional personnel and working independently with minimum supervision; meeting deadlines.

  • Capability to rapidly acquire in-depth understanding of the District’s labor agreements and manuals, especially those related to compensation compliance.
  • Capacity to support and comply with Board of Education rules, District regulations, and site or department protocols.
  • Competence in maintaining current knowledge of district regulations, expectations, and training in data integrity, privacy, and cybersecurity concerning student and employee data and related systems.
  • Skill in engaging, collaborating, and working well with individuals from various cultural and educational backgrounds, with a commitment to contributing to cultural diversity for educational value.
  • Awareness of workplace safety significance, adherence to safety procedures, practice of safe behaviors, correct use of safety gear, and reporting of hazardous conditions to the proper authority.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Project Activities to include any or a multitude of the following across the System Implementation Lifecycle :

  • System Design
  • Participation in business process analysis discovery, including input on final design of workflows to promote system automation and improved efficiency, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI) when appropriate.

  • Ensuring the security of sensitive personal data and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Mitigating risks related to personal data gathered during the application process and the life cycle of employment.
  • System Configuration
  • Participation in iterative system configuration pilot sessions to showcase functionality during build-out.

  • System Testing
  • System Integration Testing; system testing as a technical resource working through system integrations, including external interfaces and automated workflows.

  • User Acceptance Testing – system testing as an end user during the final stages of testing prior to Go-Live to simulate a real-world production environment.
  • End User Training
  • Participation in the design of the Training Plan (curriculum, resources, materials, etc.) to represent the interests of the end user community based upon Human Resources' subject matter expertise.

  • System Go-Live
  • Participation is System GoLive event coordination including Helpdesk Support for ticket management.

  • The Project Team will establish mechanisms for ongoing system enhancements and staying abreast of updates and new features within ERP payroll and benefit modules and will work with the District’s management and staff, ERP consultant, and ERP vendor to identify changes to daily processes, troubleshooting, and making continuous efforts to resolve issues.
