Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or CSPDT)

Employment Type : Full-Time

Schedule : Flexible to 4 10 hr shifts or 5 8 hr shifts per week (Always Monday - Friday)

Were seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician (also known as Instrument Processing Technician) to play a vital role in supporting our clinical staff and ensuring the highest standards of surgical care.

Position Overview

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment. This position supports the daily operations of our surgery center by maintaining an organized and efficient sterile processing environment that aligns with all regulatory and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

  • Decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays according to established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, biological monitoring, and equipment maintenance.
  • Inspect and test instruments to ensure proper function and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate closely with surgical and nursing staff to anticipate and meet instrumentation needs.
  • Monitor inventory of sterile supplies and communicate reordering needs.
  • Adhere to all infection control, safety, and compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Certification required :
  • CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) through HSPA or
  • CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) through CBSPD .
  • Previous experience in a surgical or sterile processing environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative clinical setting.
