Overview

Graduate Engineer, Structural - Transmission Line at Black & Veatch (via Jobs via Dice). Entry level role located in or relocation to Ann Arbor, MI or Bloomington, MN. This is a college full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black & Veatch policies and procedures.
  • Support quality program and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Contribute to the preparation of less complex engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scope.
  • Perform routine research and develop recommendations for equipment and / or materials selection.
  • Collect, assimilate, and manage data for engineering work.
  • Prepare basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analysis.
  • Understand and adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Share information with others as requested and coordinate with project leadership when directed.
  • Focus on internal client needs (project team leadership) while gaining a basic understanding of external client drivers; may support business development or pursuit activities.
  • Share current knowledge of latest technology and processes.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program. Applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements which may include criminal / civil background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Work Environment

    Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.

    Compensation

    Annual compensation range : $78,803.00 - $92,402.00.
