JOB TITLE CDL Truck Driver SALARY Non-Exempt Full Time JOB LOCATION Arhaus Upholstery Conover, NC WEEKLY HOURS Monday Friday 6a 3 : 30p Overtime as needed DEPARTMENT Drivers REPORTS TO Plant Manager POSITION DETAILS JOB PURPOSE Drive transfer truck and / or box truck to and from locations and yard jockey. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Using a Transfer Truck to move trailers from one location to another. Pick up Frames and other supplies needed and deliver to both locations as needed using Transfer Truck or Box Truck. Other duties as assigned by the Manager WORKING CONDITIONS Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors. Tractor Trailer or Box Truck. Typical Warehouse environment. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Minimum SUPERVISION EXERCISED None DIRECT REPORTS None QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS CDL Driver. Warehouse MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Less than High School PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or Equivalent REQUIRED SKILLS PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. Must have current CDLs Must have a good driving safety record. Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including the ability to describe and convey nonconformance issues are required. Strict attention to detail is a must. Must be a Team Player with a positive attitude. Must be able to work with minimum supervision. Must have your own reliable transportation. Must be able to stand, walk and drive for a minimum of 8 hours a day. Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime. Must be reliable. Must have strong English language skills, including : o Reading o Comprehending o Speaking o Writing o Communication Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as Safety Glasses and closed-toe / closed-heel shoes. Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
