Knowledge and Experience :
- At least 2 years radio and / or window dispatch experience in a fast-paced environment
- Transit environment experience preferred
- Must have valid driver license. CDL Class B preferred
- Ability to effectively decipher maps
- Ability to handle stress, including emergency situations
- Uses good judgment in making decisions in emergency and routine situations
- Email and Internet; Microsoft Office Applications Suite

Assign work, vehicles and onboard equipment to operators and maintain check-out logsAssign operators in the event of operator absences, increased service volumes in order to minimize service disruptions as a result of traffic, vehicle malfunctions, operator problems and / or emergency situations.Maintain accurate logs for attendanceMaintain communication with operators, providing information on customers, cancellations, and directional assistance where necessaryMonitor operators and trip status, adjusts and reassignments as necessary to ensure on time performanceMonitor Transit Radio System (TRS) messages of radio actives of bus and sedan operators in the fieldMonitor AVL screen to identify and prevent late running routes and to optimize utilization of standby and / or extra board resources based on proximity to affected destinationsProvide assistance to operators in the event of emergency or vehicle malfunctions, communicating with operations, safety and maintenance staff where appropriate.Reschedule trips as necessary in the event of vehicle malfunction, traffic, or emergency situationsReconcile trip manifests by operatorsProvide assistance to passengers in using the service as well as when inquiring about individual trip status.Document accurately and appropriately daily events related to serviceCollect any lost and found articles and catalog, attempt to contact appropriate passengers where possibleMaintain a safe work area and a focus on safety to reduce the opportunity for injury to self or other employees.Radio checks all vehicles leaving the yard at all timesEstablish and maintain headways for all online busesWill maintain "exceptions" and "incidents" logWill assist drivers with informational material as neededReport to supervisors and duty managers any drivers failing to meet duties onlinePromptly provide client with information on location and ETAPerform various administrative duties; answer incoming calls, courtesy calls and filing etc.Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisorAdditional Statements :
