The Application Development group in the Office of Academic Solutions and Information Systems (OASIS) builds, implements and supports software and data solutions for Duke's research community. The OASIS application development analyst role combines several traditional roles including QA analyst and support analyst. Application Development Analysts work collaboratively with OASIS service owners and the software development teams to design, test, document and support custom software solutions. This position would be part of the Sponsored Research team within OASIS Application Development.

We are looking for a motivated self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate the development of custom software. The ideal candidate has knowledge of research administration processes and experience managing software development projects.

Note : Grant deadlines and production releases will require availability outside of normal business hours.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education / Training :

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and technical experience required.

Required Experience :

Three years of directly related experience is required. Extensive knowledge of research administration processes. Experience managing software development projects. Previous experience as an applications analyst or software QA analyst.
