Title Specialist
Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Title Specialist. This position handles motor vehicle registrations by issuing registrations and titles, collecting fees, renewing validation stickers and license plates, dealing with non-standard situations such as heirship, wills, letters of testamentary, divorce, leased vehicles, mechanic and storage liens and salvage vehicles, transferring titles, issuing disabled placards for parking, depositing monies collected, and overseeing inventory. Performs related duties by handling multi-line phones, handling the mail, training and supporting employees, assisting the public, and entering information into the computer system. Performs related duties as assigned. Work is performed under the direction of the Motor Vehicle Supervisor.
Candidates must have the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, and office processes. At least one year of relevant experience and a level of education equivalent to four years of high school are required. Must also be a Notary Public. Candidates must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
